This is a testimony given at our 2nd Annual Barbecue and Jazz Fundraiser on July 26th, 2010, by one of our clients.

"I am a twenty-nine year-old single mother of four children. I had let my life spiral out of control. My boyfriend used and sold meth and I was a user. Four years ago I lost my children due to my meth use and they were put in foster care and remained there for two years. When my daughter was born she was immediately taken from me and placed in foster care. This was the lowest point in my life. In order to regain custody of my children I was required to complete counseling, drug rehab, and constant monitoring and drug testing for those two years.   Although my children were returned to me, we remained homeless and I tried all the state and federal programs to obtain housing; but was denied because of my two felonies. Elijah Family Homes is the only program that will help single mothers with felonies on their record. Due to their generosity and HPM Corporation, I now have a safe, clean, affordable home for my family. Also due to Elijah Family Homes program, I am able to finish my high school education and go on to college.   I thank God every day for His wisdom and timing in sending Elijah Family Homes to our rescue."
